Happy be-lated May Day and early Mother's Day!

The past month has once again proved to be rather hectic with some highs and lows!  Personally, I am ready for things to settle down...we do have quite a few announcements this month!

For those of you that have not yet heard, we received news that Jake will be deploying this fall.  So far, he will just be going to Germany but the threat of him going straight from there to Iraq is always there.  As you can imagine, this means many changes are in store, yet again, for us in the coming months.  One of those being having to reduce our numbers down to only 3 horses - just when we were getting things built back up after Abby's arrival!  You will see Glory, Annie, and Luna are up for sale.  If you are interested, please feel free to contact us.  All 3 of the girls are wonderful and would make a great addition to someone's herd.

The coming deployment does change up our show plans, as well.  We are still planning on finishing up Magnum's ONE point for his HIH Superior, but everything else will more than likely be put on hold for now at least until the 2008 show season.

Now, for some good  news!  We would like to congratulation Jane Seidl on the birth of her SECOND Magnum Baby!  On May 3, 2007, Poco Winning Breeze (AQHA) delivered a healthy Gold Champagne filly with a large blaze and characteristics!  That makes Magnum 3 for 3 on Fillies, Champagnes and Color/Regular Registration for 2007!  We are thrilled - and so is Jane!  Jane also reported that "April", her gold champagne blanketed filly out of her AQHA mare, TJs Cool Crystal, is growing like crazy and doing excellent.  She said she is one of the friendliest foals she's ever raised and very intelligent and a quick learner.  She is also hoping to show "April" in a futurity or two in 2007.  Happy Mare Owners = Happy Stallion Owner!  We should have pictures in time for the June Newsletter.

More good news!  In the past month, the following mares have been confirmed in foal to Magnum:

Eyeza Lil Bit Weedo - ApHC - due 2/29/08 *336 days; owned by Still Seeing Spots Appaloosas

Ms Gold Magic - ApHC - due 3/3/08; owned by Raymond & Sheron Lemmons

Simply Miss Scarlet - AQHA - due 3/25/08; owned by Raymond & Sheron Lemmons

Pocos Justices Angel - AQHA - due 3/29/08; owned by Hemken Appaloosas

Northern Glory - ApHC - due 3/29/08; owned by Still Seeing Spots Appaloosas

(Due dates are calculated to 342 days, unless marked otherwise)  Unfortunately, the Lemmon's third mare, Miss Snip of Zip (Mr Pondie Zip x Miss Bet McCue) is unable to carry any more foals for them, so another mare will be substituted for her in 2008.

We would also like to Congratulate the following Mare Owner on booking her mare to Magnum for a 2008 Foal:

Jessica Dooley - Cats Morning Star - ApHC

If anyone is still on the fence about breeding their mare to Magnum for a 2008 foal, please contact us soon to ensure a spot!  The end of the 2007 season is just around the corner and we want to make sure you get a Magnum baby in 2008!  There are a couple of auction breedings still available with additional 'specials'!

For those of you that have already contacted us about 2008, once things get wrapped up from this season, we will have more information coming!  We have quite a few new and exciting things in store for the 2008 season!

Abby and I got out and took a couple of snapshots of Glory out in the pasture today.  Poor girl - we didn't have many of her!  You can see them at:  Glory's Pictures.

Once again, be sure to check out the for sale ads below. There have been a few updates - including price changes, new ads, and a couple sales!  A reminder to all: Starting with the June Newsletter, ads will be $5/6 months per horse.  This does NOT apply to Magnum babies or mares bred to Magnum that are offered for sale.

Until next time, happy trails and enjoy the weather!!

Appily,

Jacob, Kristine & Abigail Ryun
